What’s the difference?
Health Insurance
- Covers medical expenses for hospital treatments arising from illnesses, injuries and other medical conditions. This includes pre- and post-hospitalisation bills, as well as chronic outpatient treatments
- Does not cover infectious diseases
- Does not pay a lump sum in the event of sudden death, and total and permanent disability due to accidents
Personal Accident Insurance
- Only covers outpatient medical expenses and hospital treatments arising from accidental injuries
- May cover selected infectious diseases
- Pays a lump sum in the event of sudden death, total and permanent disability due to accidents
